With a stylish design, stunning speakers, and a brake the Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Plus is the best tablet for Netflix and Hulu addicts. Take a look at the full review:
Amazon offers the Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 for $299, the most elegant tablet. There are two outstanding features that you will find on a tablet: an incredibly loud and powerful speaker and an outstanding camera.
It has a traditional slim design due to its cylindrical spine. It comes with a stand that can be used to hold the tablet. The aluminum-clad edges make it easy to hold in your hands. It comes with a stand, so you can relax and catch up on Netflix while you watch.
The Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Plus is a touchscreen tablet with above-average speakers and a decent screen. With this review, we examine its merits and shortcomings to see if they merit a recommendation over other tablets in the market today.
A unique design makes Tab 3 Plus stand out. Its built-in stand will offer you a variety of useful features you may not have considered before.
We are still able to survive without it. It is the tablet you’ve been waiting for if you like to watch TV or films on your tablet in landscape mode when you’re in bed or at a table.
A portable stand is incorporated into the tablet’s near-cylindrical base (or spine, depending on how you grip it) and can be released with a touch of a button. If you’d like to hang the tablet in the kitchen, you can use the hole on the stand as a hook.
There’s no need to balance it on your lap or buy a stand case like there would be with a classic slate tablet design since the stand is adjustable to 180 degrees.
Having a tablet that weighs 500g compared to the iPad comes as no surprise since the Fire HD 10 weighs 469g.
Due to this pronounced bend, it makes it difficult to use one-handed, where you’ll need to rotate the tablet and hold the rounded edge like the cover of a magazine.
The tablet was locked for several seconds due to accidentally pressing the circular power button many times while moving it during a video.
There are four speakers and a 13 MP camera on the side of this tablet, which is indicated by the rectangular square grille. It’s covered with a nice-to-touch faux leather embossed with the Yoga logo, which means the rest of the device is pleasingly slim due to the heavy spine.
Lenovo handsets come with super bright and sharp 2K displays, almost devoid of bezels. The front-facing camera appears at one end and the Lenovo logo appears at the other.
It’s pretty accurate to say that the Tab 3 Plus delivers as a tablet marketed as a TV and movie tablet. Screen resolution is 1560×1600 and pixels per inch is 299 on the 10.1in screen. The overall impression is good.
It looks great as long as you are streaming Netflix at the highest resolution with your Internet connection. The display of the Lenovo is bright and the pixel density is better than that of the 2018 iPad – this is especially impressive when considering the larger display of the device. Webpages or social media can be scrolled smoothly through the angles and scrolling.
With its octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor, Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Plus is an outstanding tablet. 3GB of RAM is on board. A non-removable 9300mAh battery powers Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Plus, which comes with Android 6.0. A 13-megapixel camera is found on the rear of the Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Plus.
RAM & Storage:
It may be less important to users these days how much content can fit on a tablet, but the Tab 3 Plus has 32GB of storage and has 3GB of RAM. To download a few episodes of something for the train or plane, 32GB of storage is more than enough for movies and TV on the go.
Video can not only be transferred to the tablet but can also be included in a larger media collection on a computer or hard drive. For users who are really addicted to media, there is also a microSD card slot. They can add as much as 256GB, so they can store all their music and videos there.
iPad’s graphics performance is much better, so it’s more suitable for gamers. Basic games are serviceable on the Tab 3 Plus, but anything high-end will no longer run smoothly. Because of its design, it does not make a good gaming tablet. If you’re looking for one that can play games, this is not the right one for you.
It took us about 18 hours for the battery to drain properly, which is average. The Tab 3 Plus is powered by a 9,300mAh battery that can keep the device running for an exceedingly long period of time, making it ideal for long flights and drives while watching TV.
A great addition to the tablet is the fast charging capability that comes with the included wall charger. Most high-end phones can do this now as well. Using the tablet as a power bank will allow you to power many of your other devices.
Wireless & Audio:
Tab 3 Plus comes with 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual bands. Wireless headphones and speakers work just fine with Bluetooth 4.0, not the latest version 5.0.
The Tab 3 Plus comes with a JBL speaker grille and is adequate for the device’s audio needs. Don’t be fooled by the marketing – Dolby Atmos sounds balanced, but it isn’t surround sound. They were also not quite as loud as we expected
Integrated into the Android operating system on the Tab 3 Plus are Dolby Atmos settings, so you can adjust the perfect sound for your taste when using wired headphones.
There is nothing wrong with the tablet’s cameras – front-facing one is fine to use for video calls but the back camera is grainy and unusable.
Launcher & Apps:
When we first turned on the tablet, it was running Android Marshmallow but was immediately upgraded to Android Nougat 7.1.1. A Tablet running Android 7.0 Oreo is good as most Android tablets lack the latest build, mostly because manufacturers focus their attention on updating their smartphones first.
We disabled Lenovo’s extra-fast gestures, which did not improve the experience and merely went forward and backward with the OS. However, Lenovo still has Dolby Atmos. You probably won’t need or want much customization for a tablet; you don’t use it as a phone.
Bloatware is installed on it. You also cannot uninstall the Lenovo app, which provides information about the tablet only in the form of a trailer and specs. With Media Cast, you can cast the screen of your phone onto the larger 10.1in screen or beam music from your phone out of the tablet’s speakers.
The Tab 3 Plus is a well-priced tablet that fits right in the middle of the Android tablet market in 2018, and it is well-suited for its specific specs.
You can buy both on Amazon for 299$ and 299£. You can purchase from different sellers or Lenovo events in the UK.
It is available for £298 on Curious Cutey, where we acquired the review sample.
Amazon’s Fire HD 10 is £150 more expensive than Apple’s iPad, and it is 20 pounds cheaper than Apple’s iPad.
